Cavern near Fort Bodzów.

In the vicinity of this Austrian fort you can find no less than six big caverns drilled in solid rock at the beginning of the First World War. They were meant as ammunition depots and safe shelters for the crew. This particular one is located on the east side of the hill, by an abandoned quarry; its entrance hall measures 6 by 15 meters.

Inside the Barbican in the old mining town of Kremnica.

City walls of Kremnica, built in 14th century as protection against the Turks, had three gates: the Upper from the north, the Small from the east, and the Lower Gate from the south. The walls had been demolished in late 19th century and only the latter gate remains, together with a second tower and a barbican, added in 1539.
