Text from the official programme: "A travelling case opens and quaint figures, archetypes, appear as if risen from a puppet case: King and Fool, Princess and Prince, Cop and Robber, Hunter and Rabbit. The case is their home as well as their podium. They know they're not alone and are curious about their audience. And so the play begins: sometimes rapid and sometimes solemn, sometimes unbearably loud and then again very quiet, sometimes naughty and in the next instant endearing... Danny Molenaar and Jacob Slagman create their own modern version of puppet theatre. Their intelligent and moving acts are full of action, bizarre situations and constant changes. A unique form of street theatre". Text from the official programme: "How to speak about our fragility and the brittleness of our life? Maybe in a high-pitched voice and with a full theatricality of the body? Just to dream is a mix of circus, dance and live music, devised to tackle a serious matter: an individual's treaty with humanity and hope. Passages of choreography are declarations of love and war and they incarnate the idea that one can lose many things but still should not stop dreaming. Compagnie Etoile De Mer is a blend of aerial circus, dance and emotion. For their performances the company uses installations in the space within majestic trees among urban architecture. «Nature has this invisible communication which speaks to each of us. It points out our origin to us, our inheritance and brings us all closer together» - Philippe Bost". Text from the official programme: "Two farmers and their cattle settle down in the middle of the street. Using two big vehicles they set up a little farming industry. They treat everything as their cattle; their objects, each other and sometimes the audience! The two vehicles are multifunctional; they can be transformed into animals, beds, a chicken house and even into a factory that produces pudding and cakes! At the end they are transformed into a giant musical instrument and the working day ends with a loud concert of bells. Performances by Carbid are absurd, abstract, humorous and meaningful. The performers use their voice but not for dialogues. The story is odd and unpredictable. Everyday materials and objects are being used in different ways. The performers wish to give the audience something to think about, not only to entertain them. They don't want to explain all, but stimulate, mould and stretch thoughts and imagination. After the show the audience can speak to the performers, sharing their reflections or questions. The shows are also suitable for children and after the show they are very welcome to come and get a closer look at all the instruments and objects". Text from the official programme: "The creators of the production were inspired by Alice in Wonderland: the two Alices, the duality of the world, the mirror, the reflection, its double-meanings. As a counterpoint, in the second part of Alice's story there is a rupture of the mentioned duality which turns into an individual's search for independence. It was the rupture of the traditional "plane ground" that created vertical dance, which then changed the perspective of both actor and spectator. We are introduced to an allegorical world similar to the one in Lewis Carroll's story. Delreves is a dance company founded in Barcelona by its performers Eduardo Torres and Saioa Fernandez. They literally dance against a wall. Accompanied by two musicians playing live music, they perform their choreography against buildings or other high structures. Using pieces of architecture as the basis for their movements, their intention is to take the spectators to a parallel magical world where gravity does not exist and where flying is possible".
